The Teatro Sabbioneta was built in 1588 by the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi. As direct successor to the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza and predecessor of the Teatro Farnese in Parma it is considered to be the link between Renaissance and Baroque theatre.
